Parent Teacher Association/Ladies Auxiliary

The Parent Teacher Association-Auxiliary, which later became the PTA/Ladies Auxiliary (PTA/LA) was established in 1949 to support the Memphis Hebrew Academy faculty and administration and enhance the programs they provide. The organization currently has 93 life members.

Each year the PTA/LA organizes an array of fundraising activities, such as a school calendar, directory, magazine sale, Rosh Hashanah gift baskets, pre-holiday bake sale, candy sale, Hilda Safier Purim cards and an exciting annual auction and game show. These projects bring in more than $70,000 in annual aid to Margolin Hebrew Academy/Feinstone Yeshiva of the South. In addition, through activities such as new student gifts, teacher appreciation gifts and luncheons, and Pastries with Parents, they help promote a pleasant environment at school.
