Pre-Kindergarten Through Grade 8
Margolin Hebrew Academy offers outstanding programming, curriculum, and faculty
for its pre-school and elementary school students. As an Orthodox Jewish day
school established in 1949, we have proven experience in the division of the
school day between general and Judaic studies. Our students excel in all areas
of study and regularly score in the upper quartile in all subject areas of the
Comprehensive Testing Program.
The pre-school curriculum addresses six areas of development: academic, social,
emotional, cognitive, physical and religious. Thematic units, integrating
general and Judaic concepts, teach children how to work together while learning
skills and values that will benefit them throughout their formal education and
their lives.
The elementary and junior high school curriculum includes the content areas of
social studies, science, language arts, mathematics, art, music, physical
activities and in depth study of primary Jewish texts, such as Chumash (Bible)
and Navi (Prophets), in addition to Halacha (Jewish laws and customs), holidays
and Hebrew language. The study of Talmud is introduced in 6th grade. Like the
Early Childhood program, the elementary program intertwines Jewish and general
studies and Torah values, taught side by side, in a positive, welcoming
environment.
It is our aim to give each child the best education possible. We are very aware
that children differ in their learning styles and academic ability. The
administration and teachers are always available to meet with parents and
proactively work towards their child's success in the school.
