Grades 7-12 Science and Math Teacher:

Candidates should have excellent communication skills and a philosophy consistent with the mission and goals of the school. Strong candidates will have an advanced degree and teaching experience. Candidates must be proficient in technology and preferred candidates have some experience supervising and maintaining a school lab. Candidates should be willing to contribute to the school beyond the classroom.

Fifth Grade General Studies Teacher

​

Responsibilities:

-Cultivate a warm and caring classroom community

-Develop lessons, unit plans, and curricular materials in collaboration with teaching team

-Lead and facilitate learning experiences 

-Monitor and assess student progress around learning objectives, and differentiate instruction to address individual needs

-Manage the class effectively 

-Maintain open communication with students, parents and administrators

 

Qualifications:

-Strong ability to connect with students and develop an atmosphere of empathy, respect, and belonging

-Understanding of social, emotional and cognitive development

-Knowledge of best practices and ability to teach Language Arts, Math and Social Studies

-Experience with differentiated instruction within a heterogeneous classroom setting

-Use of educational technology to maximize student engagement

-Ability to problem-solve in a positive, creative and encouraging manner

-Creative, flexible, and open-minded approach to teaching

First Grade Assistant Teacher

​

Responsibilities:

-Assist head teacher with the planning of learning units, curriculum and teaching

-Lead small group activities

-Support head teacher with preparation for conferences and written reports

-Work actively and collaboratively with teaching team on daily activities and special programs

-Assume responsibilities outside of the classroom, such as lunch and recess duty

​

Qualifications:

-Strong ability to build connections with children and to develop an atmosphere of mutual respect

-Problem-solving and collaborative skills

-Understanding of principles of social, emotional and cognitive development

-Creative, flexible and open-minded approach to teaching

-Background in Early Childhood current practice

-Working knowledge of educational technology tools to maximize parent communication, student engagement and to differentiate instruction.
