One of the fundamental principles of Judaism is concern for others and a sense of communal responsibility. Students have a variety of opportunities to provide Chesed.  Through these activities, students build empathy and awareness of the wider community while creating lasting relationships. High school students are required to perform at least 18 community service hours per school year.
