Full Time High School Rebbe and Elementary Morah

Margolin Hebrew Academy is a Modern Orthodox Early Childhood through 12th Grade Jewish Day School in Memphis, Tennessee, and part of a warm and welcoming Jewish community that takes pride in our active and growing community. We are seeking a Judaic Studies teaching couple - teachers who are warm, engaging, and passionate about Jewish education. Specifically, we are seeking a Lower Elementary Judaic Studies teacher who is fluent in Hebrew and a High School Rebbe for the Girls and Boys High Schools.


The primary duties/responsibilities of the Full-Time High School position include, but are not limited to:

  • Teach in both the Boys and Girls divisions. 

  • Seek opportunities in and out of the classroom to educate and inspire students to love Torah learning - experience working with all levels of learners and less-motivated students is a plus. 

  • An ideal candidate will teach, assess, and mentor all students towards meeting grade level benchmarks while maintaining a warm, loving, intellectually stimulating, and challenging classroom environment.  

  • Demonstrate openness to current trends in education and be committed to ongoing professional development.

  • If the ideal candidate has an aptitude for coordinating activities, there may be an opportunity to include those responsibilities in the job description.

The primary duties/responsibilities of the Elementary Position include, but are not limited to:

  • Teaching Judaic Studies and Hebrew language, including: Hebrew reading, building Hebrew vocabulary and speaking skills, Chumash, Parashat Hashavua, Tefillah and basic Jewish knowledge including all the yearly holidays and Shabbat

  • Plan and arrange annual events as well as Shabbat Parties and other special activities

  • Collaborate with colleagues within and across subject areas

  • Experience with Tal Am and Lehavin u’Lehaskil curricula

Part-Time Middle School Math Teacher

The Margolin Hebrew Academy is a small, warm, Jewish private school in Memphis, TN seeking a dynamic, progressive teacher to teach 1-2 periods of math to Middle School grades.
